Dr. Karen Groth, LLP, LPC, ACS, CCFC, CCSOTS
Dr. Groth is a seasoned therapist with over 20 years of experience working in the mental health field with both adolescents and adults. Dr. Groth specializes in psychological and forensic assessments. She enjoys utilizing psychological testing to help clients to better understand their own psychological functioning and correctly identify the appropriate diagnosis. In her forensic work, she specializes in psychosexual risk assessment and mental health risk assessments for people involved in the justice system.
Beyond assessment, Dr. Groth also provides therapy to individuals and couples utilizing a cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused approach. She enjoys working with clients who struggle with sexual behavior issues, relationship/marital difficulties, infidelity, body-image issues, perimenopause, and work-related stress.
When she is not at the office, you can find Dr. Groth in the college classroom where she serves as a psychology professor with a passion for helping students to understand the complexities of the human mind, the importance of mental health, and stigma reduction.
